Most people are using LinkedIn wrong.
They’re using automation (which can now get you banned) and pitching their services to every single person they see. No different than going to an event and handing out business cards to everyone.
Here are 7 steps you can use to get clients from LinkedIn everyday:
1. Get clear on your offer and your target market.
Don’t be all things to all people, it doesn’t work. Once you get clear on these it will make the other steps much simpler.
2. Actually read the profiles of your clients.
Read through their profile and find something which is unique to them to start a conversation. Even better, engage with their content.
3. Personalized connection with a compliment.
Use what you found on their profile and compliment them. Just by doing this you stand out from 99.9% of people who are pitching and spamming them.
4. Start a conversation.
Get curious about their business and personal life, we’re building long-lasting relationships, not just a business transaction.
5. Get them on a discovery call.
By having a short call, you can establish needs even more and see if you can actually help them.
6. If they’re a fit, move them to a sales call.
Talk to them about your offer and exactly how it will solve their problems.
7. Close the deal.
Pretty self-explanatory, uncover needs, build rapport and seal the deal.
These 7 steps work on any platform, not just LinkedIn.
Hope that helps!
